This camp is designed to introduce players to the structure, strategies, and skills used in real scholastic esports competitions. We’ll break down the core games used in MOSEF, help campers understand match structures and rules, and begin developing the communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills needed to compete. 🎮 Game Focus: Explore the most popular MOSEF titles and understand their role in competitive high school play. 📜 Competition-Ready Knowledge: Learn key rulesets, scoring systems, match formats, and basic team strategies. 🧠 Critical Thinking & Strategy: Campers will be challenged to analyze gameplay, think ahead, and improve in real-time. 👥 Team Development: Emphasis on communication, leadership, and working within a team to reach shared goals. 📊 Camp Structure: Age Group: 6th–8th Graders Games Featured: Titles may include age-appropriate MOSEF games like Rocket League, Minecraft (competitive/creative challenges), Brawlhalla, and more. Games are selected to be developmentally appropriate while still introducing competitive structure. 🧑🏫 Coaching & Training: Experienced coaches will lead workshops in mechanics, strategy, and leadership. Training includes one-on-one instruction, scrimmages, team assignments, and scenario challenges. 🏆 Daily Tournaments & Missions: Campers will have opportunities to apply their knowledge in mini-tournaments and structured match play, with a focus on learning over winning. 🧳 What Your Child Will Need to Bring: 🖥️ Gaming Equipment – NONE, all gaming hardware is provided at the facility. 👕 Personal Items: Comfortable clothing for gaming and short activity breaks Water bottle (hydration is a must) 📜 Camp Rules & Guidelines: 🤝 Respect & Sportsmanship: We encourage competitive spirit with a strong foundation of respect—for teammates, coaches, and opponents alike. 🎮 Gaming Behavior: Communication, collaboration, and fair play are core to every day of camp. 📱 Balanced Time: Campers will enjoy a mix of in-game time, analysis sessions, team-building activities, and strategic discussions. 🚫 Behavior Policy: We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, cheating, or disrespectful conduct. 📍 Important Notes for Parents: 🍽️ Food: Snacks and drinks are available for purchase from our concession stand during scheduled breaks. 📲 Daily Communication: Parents will receive a summary of the day’s activities, as well as any highlights or camper milestones. Campers also receive a personal notebook to jot down strategies, learning goals, and feedback from coaches. ⏰ Drop-off and Pick-up: Timely arrival and pickup are expected. Campers will only be released to an approved guardian. 🖥️ Equipment Care: All necessary gaming gear is provided. Personal electronics should be left at home unless previously approved.
