This week is all about finding your voice and discovering what happens behind the scenes of esports. Whether your child dreams of being on the mic or managing the production booth, this unique camp experience will introduce them to the exciting world of esports media. 🎥 Camp Overview: Week 4 – Shoutcasting & Broadcasting 📅 Camp Dates & Hours: Start Date: June 23rd End Date: June 26th Camp Hours: 4:00 pm-6:30 PM 📍 Location: Contender Esports O’Fallon 900 Caledonia Drive, O'Fallon, MO 63368 🕒 Check-in/Check-out Times: Check-in: 7:45 AM Check-out: 11:30 AM 💬 Camp Description: In Week 4: Shoutcasting & Broadcasting, campers will explore the exciting and creative side of esports through voice work, commentary, and media production. From calling live plays to managing camera angles and creating content, campers will learn the skills that bring gaming events to life for an audience. This is the perfect week for kids who love to talk about games, get creative, and be in front of or behind the camera. Highlights Include: 🎙️ Intro to Shoutcasting: Learn how to narrate live games with clarity, excitement, and professionalism. 🎬 Broadcast Basics: Understand how live esports events are produced and streamed—camera work, overlays, transitions, and more. 🧠 Content Creation: Practice scripting, hosting, and recording fun content like player interviews, post-game shows, and highlight reels. 🎮 Live Casting Practice: Campers will work in pairs or small groups to cast live matches, gaining confidence on the mic and behind the scenes. 🎤 Voice & Presentation Training: Tips and tricks on how to speak clearly, engage an audience, and keep energy high. 📊 Camp Structure: Age Group: 3rd–5th Graders Games Featured: While gameplay is not the primary focus, we will use titles such as Rocket League, Minecraft (spectator view), and other age-appropriate games for live casting and production practice. Coaching & Mentorship: Campers will be guided by instructors with experience in esports broadcasting, media production, and youth development. Final Project: Campers will work together to host a mock live broadcast featuring real gameplay, shoutcasting segments, and behind-the-scenes roles. �� What Your Child Will Need to Bring: 🖥️ Gaming Equipment – NONE. All tech and gear are provided on-site. 👚 Personal Items: Comfortable clothing Refillable water bottle 📜 Camp Rules & Guidelines: 🤝 Respect & Inclusion: All campers must treat each other with kindness and encouragement—teamwork is key, on and off the mic! 🎙️ On-Mic Conduct: Positive, family-friendly language is expected during all shoutcasting and broadcast segments. 🧠 Balanced Schedule: Campers will take regular breaks, enjoy short physical activities, and rotate through different creative roles. 🚫 Behavior Policy: As always, bullying or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. 📍 Important Notes for Parents: 🍽️ Snacks & Drinks: Our full concession stand will be open during breaks with snacks and drinks available for purchase. 📲 Daily Parent Updates: Parents will receive a daily recap including highlights, photos, and a peek into your child’s broadcast progress. Campers will also receive a media journal to track notes, script ideas, and coaching feedback. ⏰ Drop-off & Pick-up Guidelines: Please ensure timely arrival and pick-up. Campers will only be released to approved guardians. 📱 Device Policy: All equipment is provided—no personal devices needed unless otherwise arranged. 🎉 Final Reminder: We’re thrilled to welcome your child to Week 4: Esports Shoutcasting & Broadcasting!
