If you can imagine it, you can build it! At 918 eSports, our 3D Design & Printing Camp introduces kids to the exciting world of digital engineering and rapid prototyping. Campers will start by learning the basics of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) using beginner-friendly 3D modeling software. Once their custom designs—like keychains, gaming miniatures, or desk organizers—are built on the screen, they’ll learn the science of how to bring them into the real world. We’ll teach them the "slicing" process and the mechanics of how modern, high-speed 3D printers work, from proper filament extrusion to getting the perfect bed adhesion. Every camper will get to design, print, and take home their very own custom creations! What They’ll Learn: 3D Modeling (CAD): Navigating 3D space to build and manipulate shapes into complex designs. The Slicing Process: Preparing digital models for the printer by adjusting infill, supports, and print speed. Printer Mechanics: Understanding how 3D printers work layer-by-layer, including basic hardware concepts. The Engineering Process: Designing a prototype, testing it, and making adjustments to improve the final physical product.
