Taos Onstage kicks off its 2025-26 season with our annual Holiday Live Radio Play—Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, adapted by Blair Jackson and directed by Charlotte Keefe. The story is a timeless tale that most people are familiar with: Ebenezer Scrooge is a rich miser who has a lack of concern for the rest of mankind. He is visited by the ghost of his former partner, Jacob Marley, and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come. Because of these haunting visits, Scrooge is transformed into a generous benefactor. Published in 1843, the story ‘s message remains relevant today. It is a tale about the value of helping those in need through money, companionship and communion between rich and poor and the haves and have-nots. Through this tale we are reminded of the spirit of Christmas, goodwill to all, charity and benevolence.
