Bring your imagination to life, frame by frame! At 918 eSports, our Art & Animation Camp bridges the gap between traditional physical art and digital storytelling. Campers will step into the role of a movie director to learn the timeless magic of stop-motion animation. The week starts completely hands-on as campers conceptualize, design, and craft their own custom characters and miniature sets. Then, they will step behind the lens using stop-motion software to capture fluid movement, one picture at a time. From sketching out initial storyboards to adding final sound effects and voiceovers, campers will leave with a completed animated short film they can proudly premiere for family and friends! What They’ll Learn: Character & Set Design: Crafting and sculpting original characters, props, and environments for the camera. Animation Mechanics: Understanding frame rates, capturing fluid motion, and mastering the patience of stop-motion capture. Storyboarding: Planning a narrative visually, shot by shot, before the animation begins. Post-Production: Editing their footage and adding audio tracks, voiceovers, and sound effects to bring their silent films to life.
