

πΌ BEGINNER QUILT PIECING CLASS β INTRODUCTION Join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly quilting series designed specifically for students who already know how to operate their sewing machine. This class is NOT a βhow to use your sewing machineβ class β it is a quilting foundations workshop for confident machine users who want to learn how to piece quilt blocks and build a complete quilt top. This 5-session course will meet on: April 6,13,20,27 and May 4th from 8:00 AM β10:00 AM Each session builds on the last, teaching you the essential skills every quilter needs while guiding you through the creation of a 50" Γ 50" quilt top. This class includes 10% off of store purchases during classes & a 3 yard quilt book. β¨ WHAT WE WILL LEARN EACH DAY SESSION 1 β APRIL 6TH Charm Pack 9-Patch Block + Quilt Vocabulary Learn foundational quilting terms, seam accuracy, pressing and nesting techniques, and construct your first 9-patch block using charm squares. SESSION 2 β APRIL 13TH Strip-Pieced 9-Patch Blocks (Accuracy & Subcutting) Learn how to cut long strips, sew accurate strip sets, subcut units, and assemble beautifully nested 9-patch blocks using 3 fat quarters. SESSION 3 β APRIL 20 Pinwheel Block Using Half-Square Triangles (HST) Create half-square triangles, trim them to size, and assemble a crisp and accurate pinwheel block. SESSION 4 β APRIL 27 3-Yard Quilt Pattern: Fabric Selection, Cutting & Starting Assembly Choose three coordinating fabrics, learn how to read a quilt pattern, cut all required pieces, label them properly, and begin assembling your quilt top. SESSION 5 β May 4th Quilt Sandwich, Basting, Simple Quilting & Brief Binding Overview Learn how to layer and baste a quilt, begin quilting using simple methods, and receive a basic introduction to binding so you can finish your quilt at home. π WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR This class is perfect for you if: β You are comfortable using your sewing machine β You can thread your machine, wind a bobbin, and sew a straight line β You want to learn quilting step-by-step without feeling rushed β You enjoy creative, supportive, community-style classes This class is not designed for learning how to operate a sewing machine.
