Fighting games require split-second decision-making, and this camp breaks down the complex mechanics behind competitive Smash. Campers will learn advanced techniques like Directional Influence (DI), optimal recoveries, spacing, and how to read their opponent. Because Smash is played side-by-side, we heavily emphasize tournament etiquette, handling pressure, and winning (or losing) with grace. The week culminates in an exciting, bracket-style tournament where campers can put their new skills to the test! What They’ll Learn: Advanced Mechanics: Combos, parrying, edge-guarding, and Directional Influence (DI). Game Sense: Mastering the "neutral game," stage positioning, and understanding character matchups. Character Mastery: Finding the right "main" and understanding their specific strengths and weaknesses.
