The Newport Mesa FISHING TRIP is BAAAAACK!!!! It is that time again and what a time it will be! The annual lodge fishing trip is soon going to be upon us and the time has come to secure your spot on this fun-filled event. Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026 We will be leaving the dock promptly at the crack of Noon Dana Wharf Sportfishing in Dana Point 34675 Golden Lantern, Dana Point, CA 92629 Cost: $70 per person. Includes boat, rods, bait and crew tip. It does NOT include food, drink or your mandatory fishing license. Make your reservation and payment on the lodge website at www.nm241.org. Click on "News and Events" and select "Fishing Trip" to RSVP. You can either "Pay Online" or choose "Pay in Person.” Personal checks should be made out to Newport Mesa 241. Checks and cash should be given to the lodge Secretary (Jeff Castellano), prior to the event, or presented on the day of the trip. No matter how you pay, when you make your reservation, please email or text your email and cell phone number to Jamie Barr, along with the number of people in your party. His cell phone number is (714) 225-2277 and his email is dadbarr@gmail.com. This will help ensure delivery of all future communications and details for the trip. To buy a license, a link to the California Fish and Wildlife Department you can go to https://wildlife.ca.gov/Licensing/Online-Sales to purchase your license online. There is a great galley with very good food, as many previous attendees will attest. No outside food is permitted on the boat. This is an open event and all are welcome. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce a friend to the fraternity and our lodge! Spots are limited and the word is that we may fill up completely! So, get on board and let’s go fishing!
