Ready to take your lettering somewhere a little less traditional? Join us Thursday, October 8th, from 6–8 PM at St. Vrain Cidery in Longmont for Thrifted to Unfiltered: Spooky Plate Edition. A Halloween-inspired night of calligraphy, creativity, and plates with personality. We’ll spend the first 45 minutes learning the basics of calligraphy, getting comfortable with the tools, strokes, and letters you’ll use throughout the evening. Then it’s time for the fun part: turning a thrifted plate into something uniquely yours. Choose your vibe: spooky, sassy, funny, cute, a little inappropriate, or whatever makes you laugh. And don’t worry about staring at a blank plate wondering where to start. There’s no blank-space fear here! I’ll provide plenty of templates and teach you how to use them and transfer your chosen design onto your plate, so you can create beautiful hand lettering without having to freehand the whole thing. For the free-spirited souls who would rather wing it, you’re absolutely welcome to skip the templates and hand-letter your design yourself! Your $59 ticket (+ ticketing fees) includes 45 minutes of beginner calligraphy instruction, a thrifted plate, and all supplies needed to create your finished hand-lettered piece. You’ll leave with a calligraphy kit & a plate you’ll be proud to display, gift, or keep for yourself. Come grab a cider, get creative, and make a plate with a little more personality than your average home décor.
