Ready to take your hand lettering from thrifted to completely unfiltered? Join us Monday, October 12th, from 6–8 PM at Parkway Food Hall for Thrifted to Unfiltered: Spooky Plate Edition. A Halloween lettering night where your plate can be as spooky, sassy, funny, or downright inappropriate as your heart desires. We’ll spend the first 45 minutes learning the basics of calligraphy, getting comfortable with the tools, strokes, and letters you’ll use throughout the evening. Then it’s time to turn a thrifted plate into something with serious personality. And don’t worry about staring at a blank plate wondering where to begin. There’s no blank-space fear here! I’ll provide plenty of templates and show you how to use and transfer them onto your plate, so you can create lettering you’ll actually be proud to display—or gift to someone who appreciates a little attitude. For the free-spirited souls, templates are totally optional. If you’d rather grab a marker and freehand your masterpiece, go for it! And this is the unfiltered edition, so leave the polite little sayings at home if that’s not your vibe. Spooky? Sassy? Sarcastic? A little inappropriate? All of it is welcome here. Your ticket includes your 1st drink, calligraphy instruction (and a kit to take home), a thrifted plate, and all supplies needed to create your finished hand-lettered piece. Come grab a drink, get creative, and make a plate that definitely has something to say.
