June Meeting: MBA of the Bluegrass | Downtown Lexington

McDaniel is a Bluegrass native growing up on a farm in Central KY. He attended Transylvania University, and then the University of Kentucky where he received a Bachelor of Arts. McDaniel continued his education at Morehead State University where he served in the MSU Foundation office and completed a Master Degree in Public Administration. Upon graduation he began as a development manager at a corporate medical foundation and then was promoted to Executive Director after 11 months. After over 11 years in philanthropy, McDaniel is now entering his 3rd year as Executive Director/CEO of Downtown Lexington Partnership (DLP) where he oversees all aspects of a thriving community development, place-based organization. DLP was created in 2017 to combine multiple private and public entities under one umbrella including a foundation, membership organization, development authority, and a business improvement district.
