Turn game time into brain time! Our Minecraft: Intro to Coding Camp at 918 eSports is the perfect starting point for young gamers (ages 8–12) to learn the fundamentals of programming. Using Microsoft’s MakeCode and Minecraft Education Edition, campers will take control of their own in-game robotic "Agent." By snapping together visual coding blocks, they will learn essential computer science concepts like loops, variables, and conditionals to automate massive builds, trigger weather events, and design custom mini-games. Campers will transition from simply playing Minecraft to actively engineering it, culminating in a Friday project showcase where they can play and test their peers' coded creations! What They’ll Learn: Coding Fundamentals: Sequences, loops, variables, and if/then logic. Automation: Programming bots to build structures instantly. Game Design: Creating rules and conditions for mini-games. Problem Solving: Debugging code when things don't go as planned.
