In this creative workshop, you’ll construct a quick quilt block using a free pattern and learn how to properly prepare and attach it to a sweatshirt for a clean, finished look. We’ll talk about block construction, stabilizing your fabric, placement options, quilting techniques, and how to secure your patchwork so it wears well and washes well. This class is perfect for sewists who are comfortable with their machine and ready to combine quilting and garment sewing in a fun, wearable way. Avoid very thin or overly stretchy fabrics. Fabric (for quilt block) Larger Piece quilt block backing 12x12 5 coordinating cotton fabrics Scraps are welcome Fat quarters work great Choose prints/solids that contrast well with black (Tip: Bring a mix of light + medium + dark fabrics so your block has dimension.)
