This show brings together a diverse lineup of award-winning storytellers, veterans of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and rising stars. You'll hear from comedians who have: - Hosted the queer shows at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and created popular shows like Queerly Beloved. - Performed stand-up specials featured at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival (like Late-in-Life Lesbian). - Released their own comedy specials and produced shows for the Winnipeg Fringe. The event proudly features performers who share unique, personal perspectives, including those who are late-in-life diagnosed disabled, neurospicy, Jewish, trans, and lesbian. Get ready to enjoy a variety of acts—from hosts you hear on the radio to professional comedians who will share their hilarious "shenanigans, exploits, and disasters" with you. Dev Oza
You hear them on the radio talking about your streets and now they’re excited to host this super gay show. From Toronto to Winnipeg via Saskatoon and Thompson, Dev is an immigrant with a full Canadian experience.
Willow Rosenberg
An award winning comedian, writer, and storyteller from the UK (sort of) currently based in Winnipeg/Treaty 1 territory. Willow has performed across the Canadian prairies spreading laughter, love, and awareness by giving audiences a peak at the shenanigans, exploits, and disasters of her life as a late-in-life diagnosed disabled, neurospicy, Jewish, trans, lesbian. (Well, the Jewish and lesbian bits were pretty obvious from birth). You can find her and her black cat familiar, Miss Kitty Fantastico, online at find.willowrosenberg.space.
J.D. Renaud
Despite all evidence to the contrary, a professional. He has performed in the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, produced several shows for the Winnipeg Fringe, and released his fist comedy special earlier this year, ‘I Ruin Things For A Living’.
Shane Thevenot
A Winnipeg-based comedian who has opened for Kristin Key and produces a monthly open mic called Queer Comedy Night. Their debut stand-up comedy special, Late-in-Life Lesbian, received an honourable mention for the English Comedy Award at the 2024 Montreal Fringe Festival, and was featured in the 2025 Winnipeg Fringe Festival.
Sarah Jane Martin
Performing in Winnipeg for over a decade and was recently voted “Winnipeg’s Favourite Comedian” by the Uniter. Her comedy explores the chaotic world of motherhood as a queer, AuDHD, aging punk with no social filter. She’s been featured in Winnipeg’s Comedy Fest, Improv Fest, Fringe Fest, and your nightmare blunt rotation. She recently wrapped filming for Season 2 of the Fibe TV sketch series, Big Small Town.
Danielle Kayahara
She is the producer and host of Wisecracks for Weirdos and one half of the musical comedy duo The Lady Lumps. She’s shared her unique blend of storytelling and silliness with audiences at Winnipeg Comedy Showcase, Winnipeg Fringe Festival, and Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and can be heard on CBC Radio’s Laugh Out Loud.
Veronica Gingles
Came out as a comedian in 2015 at the tender young age of 52, a year after coming out as a Trans woman. Apparently transitioning finally gave her the balls she was so desperately trying to lose to try comedy. Her observational, weird, and often dark style of humour keeps her audiences in stitches. She has hosted the queer shows at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival annually since 2023, and she created the popular Queerly Beloved comedy show that has been enjoyed all over the Prairies.
