Uncovering the Secret Lives of Animals on the Farm The farm is teeming with life, and it’s not just livestock! From deer, bears, and coyotes to rabbits, wild birds, lizards, fish, even creatures that live up in trees and underground, there’s a whole world waiting to be explored. Campers can become animal detectives, investigating tracks, traces, and habitats to uncover the hidden lives of the animals that call the farm home—or are simply passing through for a visit. We’ll build Viking chairs to sit and observe some of these creatures in action and learn how each one contributes to the ecosystem. This week-long adventure blends exploration, hands-on discovery, and nature-based learning, leaving campers with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diverse wildlife that thrives on the farm. Crafts and Projects: • Sculpt Cement Creatures: Campers will learn how to mix and mold cement to create their own custom designs, from playful animals to whimsical gnomes and anything their imagination dreams up. • Feather-Inspired Resin Art: Use real feathers collected on the farm to create stunning and practical (or whimsical) resin pieces. • Build a Viking Chair: and personalize it with wood-burning designs.
