About

Bees, Butterflies, and Bugs Soar into an exciting week exploring the incredible creatures that make our world buzz, flutter, and hum! Campers will uncover the roles of bees, butterflies, and bugs in nature, learning how they support ecosystems and the environment. We’ll start with the world of bees, discovering the inner workings of hives, the jobs of each bee, and how solitary bees thrive. Campers will build bee hotels and waterers to support these vital pollinators. Next, we’ll explore the lives of butterflies, moths, and dragonflies, their pollination powers, life cycles, and amazing migrations. Finally, we’ll peek into the world of bugs, learning how they contribute to pollination, composting, and the food chain. Campers will even try a bug-inspired treat and observe bug-eating predators! Daily hunts with bug jars and magnifying glasses will help campers spot these creatures up close while identifying their behaviors and roles in the ecosystem.
