Campers will investigate the plants and animals that call the farm’s waterways home, from dragonfly nymphs and slippery frogs to fish, birds, and other wildlife. They’ll uncover how these ecosystems thrive and work together. They’ll even learn how to harvest clean water from the air—no rain required—using techniques developed in arid climates. Water science will come alive as campers examine algae and other tiny lake dwellers under magnifying glasses, exploring why algae grows, its ecosystem impact, and its surprising benefits. The lake will also become the campers’ playground as they master the art of skipping stones and investigate the physics behind it. Creativity will flow with activities like making giant bubbles, designing mini-streams and waterfalls with natural materials, and following the farm’s water cycle to see how rainwater shapes the landscape.
