Weโ€™re excited to guide your child through a week focused on learning the ins and outs of games featured in the Missouri Scholastic Esports Federation (MOSEF). This session is a great next step for young gamers who are beginning to explore structured competitive play. Below is everything you need to prepare for an epic Week 2. ๐Ÿ† Camp Overview: Week 2 โ€“ MOSEF Games Primer ๐Ÿ“… Camp Dates & Hours: - Start Date: June 9th - End Date: June 12th - Camp Hours: 8:00 am to 11:30 am - Location: Contender Esports O'Fallon 900 Caledonia Drive, O'Fallon, MO 63368 - Check-in/Check-out Times: - Check-in: 7:45 am - Check-out: 11:30 am ๐Ÿ’ฅ Camp Description: In Week 2: MOSEF Games Primer, campers will get hands-on with the core titles used in MOSEF competitions. With a focus on gameplay mechanics, teamwork, and understanding competition structure, this camp builds confidence for kids who may be interested in scholastic esports in the future. - ๐ŸŽฎ MOSEF Titles Spotlight: Intro to games featured in Missouri Scholastic Esports Federation. - ๐Ÿ“œ Rules & Roles: Learn the game rules, player roles, and how competitive matches are structured. - ๐Ÿง  Gameplay IQ: Deep dive into map strategies, objectives, and decision-making in key moments. - ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Team Synergy: Enhance skills in communication, role assignment, and team-based coordination. ๐Ÿ“Š Camp Structure: - Age Group: 3rdโ€“5th Graders - Games Featured: While subject to change, titles may include age-appropriate versions or modified introductions to MOSEF games such as *Rocket League*, *Minecraft: Education Edition*, and other strategy/team-based titles tailored to younger players. - ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ Coaching & Training: Our staff will provide age-appropriate guidance on mechanics, team roles, and match flow. Interactive demos, group gameplay, and coach-led strategy talks are part of the daily routine. - ๐Ÿ† Mini-Tournaments & Challenges: Each day will include gameplay scenarios and friendly scrimmages to reinforce learning and build competitive confidence. ๐Ÿงณ What Your Child Will Need to Bring: 1. ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Gaming Equipmentโ€“ NONE, all gear is provided onsite. 2. ๐Ÿ‘š Personal Items: - Comfortable clothing (suitable for gaming and physical activity breaks) - Water bottle (hydration is important!) ๐Ÿ“œ Camp Rules & Guidelines: - ๐Ÿค Respect for Others: All campers should act with kindness, respect, and sportsmanship toward coaches and fellow campers. - ๐ŸŽฎ Gaming Etiquette: We teach more than gamingโ€”we teach respect, teamwork, and balanced behavior. - ๐Ÿ“ฑ Screen Time Balance: Camp activities are split between screen time, interactive discussions, and team-building breaks. - ๐Ÿšซ Behavior Expectations: Positive behavior is key!
