If you purchase the Locking Trailer Breaks* and you have electric breaks on your trailer, when the system is armed, it will apply the breaks and keep the trailer from moving freely. When the towing vehicle is connected you will get a message telling you to disarm the alarm to unlock the breaks. You can have the alarm armed while driving, the system knows the trailer is connected to the towing vehicle and will bypass the locking breaks. This will protect your cargo trailer even when you're traveling down the road. If you park your trailer inside, you can get the additional shoreline* to plug it in....
