Kinusaiga - Painting With Fabric @Railwerks Brewing Depot 12/27

Come create with us in this beginner-friendly class! We’ll explore a modern take on Kinusaiga, a modern Japanese art form that transforms simple fabric scraps into textured works of art. Gently tuck fabric into pre-cut grooves on a foam board to create a layered design that resembles a fabric “painting” or quilting, all without sewing or stitches. This class will include new patterns and some more advanced techniques for those who have taken previous classes or already tried their hand with this activity.

Relax, unwind, and tap into your creativity as you play with color, pattern, and texture. Whether you’re new to crafting or a seasoned maker, kinusaiga offers a meditative, hands-on experience with impressive results — think florals, landscapes, animals, or abstract designs, all brought to life with fabric.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the essentials — how to work with your template, choose and coordinate fabrics, and use simple tools to build your design piece by piece.
