MahoganyBooks Very Smart Brothas Book Club: April Book Discussion

The MahoganyBooks | Very Smart Brothas Book Club is excited to announce that Damon Young, author of What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Blacker, will be our special guest at the May 3rd book club discussion of his book. In addition to being a participant in the conversation, Damon will also autograph books at the conclusion of the book club discussion.

Described as a "hilarious and honest debut that is both a celebration of the idiosyncrasies and distinctions of Blackness," What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Blacker is "a critique of white supremacy and how we define masculinity."

Join us at MahoganyBooks, located inside of the Anacostia Arts Center, from 6PM to 8PM for a lively and engaging book discussion. Reserve your seat today. Limited seats are available.
